I got the game installed it went to kaadara became an imperial pilot and went on my way. Got out into space kewl game decent graphics...could use some nice traveling music though...anywho i do my patrols for my first mission i get to the 3rd patrol and 2 xwings from nowhere! ahhh. so i engage being the xwing vs tie guy i am and i get 1 shot to hit. After that i coudn't hit an x-wing if i tried. Why? because they were warping a distance of 800m every half second back and forth and i failed my mission 4 times in a row due to this warping and lag. I had a 104 ping with 0 packetloss and when i cycled through targets there was no one else in the system at 11am cst scylla naboo..... Oh yeah i'm so excited...any suggestions on where else i can go that may not be laggy?

Take a look at your graphics options. Try lowering them and tool around with the bloom option. Your connection may be a problem too. If you are a cable modem, sometimes disconnecting it for af ew minutes and reconnecting it peeds things up. Especially if your cable company has updated anything it will no take effect until you reestablish your modem.

I'll play with the bloom option, i'm on a dedicated cable 1mg down 256 up, tested the speed and packet rate it was just fine. And my video card was hitting 25-30 fps but ill try playing with the options a bit just in case.

Even though i was letting in the proper ports it was the sp2 windows firewall that was the problem. anyone have a full listing of what ports or a better way of setting it up to let JTL through?
