That's a good question.
Mass is everything.
What's a good mass? That's like asking "what a good resist on composite?" You always want more.
That much said, it's easy to overstate the importance of mass. Parts eventually get so heavy that no level of mass experimentation can account for their weight. Sooner or later, you run out of mass and you have to compromise.

I just bought myself a deed (I guess its a deed) for a TIE/in. I'm not at that level yet but figured I'd get it anyways. Its got hitpoints of 1582. and a total mass of 39k.
No idea if its good or bad. I'm just gonna assume its a junker since its in the early stages of the game, but what should we be looking for in the future?
