Hey guys,

I need some help with the new expansion. My girlfriend got it last night (I still need more RAM first) and was trying it out and having some problems. First of all we aren't very hardcore; only playing every now and then so we don't know to much about it. She was having trouble controling her ship with the keyboard. Couldn't find the pitch controls. Tried goin to mouse control but, all it would do was look around. Finally we found an old gamepad that would work. Once she got that going she was telling me about her cool new ship that she got, the /claimveteranreward one. We don't even know what all it has on it. How do you look at the specs for a ship? What about upgrades? I think she said that it cannot be upgraded but, that doesn't sound right as Lando upgraded the hell outta his and it even talks about upgrading it on the site. I used to play Jumpgate (www.jossh.com) which was a great space sim. I couldn't find anykind of upgrade area like that in SWG though. Is it just flying and shooting stuff or are there cargohauler contractsand such? What about smuggling? I guess we are just looking for some general tips on the whole ordeal if you have some spare time. Oh and a good spot to find some 184-pin 333mHz DDR RAM too =D.

Thanks

No you can't upgrade it as it is special and invulnerable. It is in all intent and purposes a house that flies. I am not so sure about flying with the keyboard or mouse. and unfortunately I don't think there are any smuggling missions of real space importance as of yet. And I have no idea about the memory needs. Hope I helped out some little bit...

Wow you guys are fast! Its invulnerable? I didn't know that. So it can't be crashed, or shot up by players or mobs? That's kinda kooky. Do you have to pay upkeep on it like a house? That is the first thing my girl did was scrap the house we were paying on and move right in to the ship. Oh and I saw you can use it to hop around the planet by lauching and landing at different space ports but, do we have hyperdrives yet? i.e. can we hop to different planets?

Thanks again
