The mission is to travel to Lok and pick something up. Since I still have my starter ship and no hyperdrive, do I need to buy a new ship to do this mission? I'm saving up for a 2nd tier ship, but I can't get it until after I do this. I'd rather wait... and I have a yacht if that'll do the trick (though I assume there'll be fighting so the yacht won't work).

Wooonderful. So I have to blow some ungodly sum of money to buy the dunelizard just so I can almost immediately turn around and buy my light blacksun fighter...

Or you could wait until the market is flooded with all sorts of ships, it will happen eventually.

Trust me. The tier 2 xp requirements will take MUCH longer than your tier one boxes. You'll get plenty of use outta that sucker. Tier 2 is 60k xp per box.

Just buy a good scyk to get you through. Mine only cost me about 30k including the cost of the chassis dealer at the starport. I will be buying a dunelizard anyway, but I don't think it will be a requirement for me since my scyk is pretty good with the looted items I have so far.

I went from the starter to the dunelizard. I like the 60k mass. It should last me at least until medium fighter. And it only cost me 50k in deed form.

I will definitely be getting a dune lizard then. I didn't realize the difference in mass they had...

If your mission is on ground then just go to a spaceport and buy a travel ticket, complete your mission and back to your origin planet.

The mission he's speaking of you have to rendezvous with someone to pick up data in the Lok space sector. Once you get there, you find out he's been blasted, then take out the pirates who did it to retrieve the info.

I don't know how much people are charging for ships on Bria, but I bought my Y-wing for 15k + a couple thousand for components on Corbantis. I only had to buy those components that I didn't already loot off of enemy kills.
