I just bought a Y-wing Chassis and was able to install most of the components myself, but for the shields, reactor, engines and a few other higher level components it says I'm not certified. Is this something the shipwright has to install or does it simply mean I need a higher equipment skill level?

you need to be of a higher equipment level

you can still equip lower level parts that your classed for, just upgrade again later once you reach higher levels adding bit, bit by bit.

got to have the level component availible through the component use tree in your pilot tree.

The down side to the system is you have to complete each tier in order to get a chance at

the next level so if it require anything over tier 1 it could take a good long while of flying to get

them
