Is this thing still in beta eeek im having problems with lag i have the fastest pc avail atm since im a computer tech and get if for cost
i also have alot of ram.
1) Crashes to desktop , i did afull file check, scandisk, adware, virus scans, did a defrag, all drivers are current.
2) AI ships are doing 90 deg and 180 turns it dont look right.
3) takes 10 secs to hit alt to get in and out fight /cursor mode.
4) says i qualify for 90 days veteran reward,i should not be getting this msg only been playing a month and a few days.
5) not getting any waypoints for my missions i could spend weeks looking for quest objectives.
6) getting xp for doing nothing but floating in space not sure why this is happening?.
7) ship warping dont happen often but happens.

for being a computer tech u sound like an idiot.. 'I have lots of ram" a real comptuer tech would have listed his complete system specs. I just built an AMD 64 3000+ 1 gig DDR 3200 and the game runs fine for me except the damn AI seems one second be smart the next fight like iraqis.

Driod it clear you don't have a bloody clue what your on about. How can developers be bad for not coding 64bit yet when Longhorn ( The new up and coming 64bit windows next year) and the windows Xp 64 bit version are not even outwhich means no apps etc are being made for 64bit yet.The 64bit transition is still happening. Bloody hell get a clue. Also running a 64bit pc installed with 32bit OS only makes it slightly faster then high end 32bit system it's not the leaps ahead in performce asyou maythink it is. That will only happen once you get 64bit OS installed. Your problems are most likely down to user error. I wouldn't be surprised as you do sound clueless.

2) AI ships are doing 90 deg and 180 turns it dont look right. This change in NPC behaviour during combat and turning performance was implemented3 days before Beta ends. They should balance it in the very near future with a regular patch.
3) takes 10 secs to hit alt to get in and out fight /cursor mode. This was a massively reported bug during Beta. They semi patched and worked for most of us. Some people still had problems. Stay alert for patches.
4) says i qualify for 90 days veteran reward,i should not be getting this msg only been playing a month and a few days. Bug? Are you sure you're counting right your times?
5) not getting any waypoints for my missions i could spend weeks looking for quest objectives. I have no idea about this.
6) getting xp for doing nothing but floating in space not sure why this is happening?. You might be grouped for getting XP without killing enemies. If someone in the group wins a fight all group members should receive XP (and the killer will get less than ungrouped) It worked that way in Beta. I dunno if it was intended, but I don't like it either.
7) ship warping dont happen often but happens. Network status? You can use Ctrl+Shift+G for a full display of your network in-game status. Check packet loss, ping... Having 3g of mem sounds great, but if your system has trouble administering it, you may experience problems while loading graphics into cache/pagefile.
I'm running a Pentium IV 2.4 Ghz /1 GbRAM DDR 400Mhz /80Gb HDD 7200rpm/ 256Mb ATI Video card 9600 pro/ XP home edition compatible computer... and connecting to Inet using a SDSL 400/400 kb. I have no severe issues.
Good luck

system specs:
Msi KT8 pro
Athlon amd 64 fx 4000+
3 gigs of corsair xms 4000
Ati radeon x800
2 Raptor ata 10,000 rpm 74 gb hardrives
Sony DRU710A 16X DVD+/-RW Internal Drive
Artec 56x cd-rom
5mbps DSL
I tried MANY video drivers , also used driver cleaner its not computer lag its network lag...
My friend was playing the other day he was lagging out so bad that he was dead but still standing and fighting he could not even heal himself.
The lag was so bad it was stuttering and he had an athlon 2600+ , 1 gig ram on a 5mps dsl line.
at times the game seems unplayable since jtl was live even on my system i would have a ship line up crosshairs and not a single shot would land it was like shooting blanks.
Also the rewards seem Waaaaay to low cost me thousands of credits to fix my ship and im collecting double digit rewards lol seems like a good money sink.
Btw i played for 1st 3 months since retail and quit started up a little over a month ago..
Dont say i dont know what im talking about and you can't even spell half the words right ,i have been working on computers since punch card days.

Are you still instanced in the n00b zone? I guess that is probably still pretty full at the moment, after you complete your first 4 missions you will be instanced into the normal zones.

LOL I use a P4 2.4Ghz, 512Mo RAM, a geforce 4 TI-4200 and a 512Ko DSL connection, I only lag in theed/Cnet and it's still quite playable.
btw it went from "crash sometimes" to "never crash" when I "downgraded" from win xp to win2k.
and bout the mission wp not creating, make sure you have 10 to 15 room in your datapad. happened to me yesterdau I had 100/100 data in the datapad

As for the missing shots issue - in general you need to slightly lead the lead indicator, it's pretty easy once you get used to it.
The loot really depends on what you are shooting down - if you are shooting low end ships in the n00b areas then you will get next to nothing. I am surprised repairs cost you so much though, the highest repair cost i had was about 1.5k on a very battered z95...

Well i logged on and of last night still didnt get waypoints to mission, when i logged on this morning i finally got waypoints and there was no lag at all guess with kiddies in school.
I guess primetime is lag time, it was funny lastnight my friend was fighting whent from 100% health down to 0% he was fully buffed , he was dead 20 secs before his hps showed any change, he also was getting attacked by dead mobs that was a laugh.
I did a traceroute last night seems there were alot of bad routers between me and sony..
Also the ship status at starship terminal dont work shows everything at 100% when i launch its 50% on systems guess they still have bugs to fix yet.
Speaking of bugs for some reason on my 3m mission they didn't shoot back at all?, it was waaay to easy.
