My started ship is disabled. It says my engine is at 0%. What can I do to fix it?

If you're disabled out in the middle of nowhere then type /escapepod yes to scuttle your ship and return to the space station. If you are near a space station however (within about 1Km) then press the "C" key to target the station, and then the backslash "\" key to communicate with it (or type /comm). Once you are talking the space station simply ask it for repairs and specify how much of the damage you want repaired.

A few words of advice to those who don't agree with the motives of The Empire: Move along

If you failed to repair at the space station after being destroyed, and you just landed rather than repair, destroy it and get a new starter ship from the trainer.

Thanks, but Im disabled in the starport. I can't load it into space and I cant put a new engine in because it isnt upgradeable. What do I do then?
