ya, it would have been cool to have a bunch of TIEs and a few gunboats protecting it.
as for the NPC fighters those only came in when i started going for the bridge, right after taking down the reactor (the hardest part of the engagment, its position makes you take ALOT of fire to hit it)
all in all it was the single greatest experiance ive had in swg so far. i just wish it would have taken a big group to gun it down.
If you want to be technical about it, there should be 72 Escort TIEs in total as the ISD is an Imperator-class Mk1.

It apperd tha you were suffering from some serous damage then all good then all damaged again. did you heal or die and heal and come back. I agree that thay could be tougher but it did not apper that it was a push over in your pictures.

when i got to the reactor i couldnt figure out where to shoot, so i hit my iff and got up close and personal. when i found the lead indicator for it, i wasnt even moving and all the sudden the turrets opened up on me. i lost my capactior but that was it, so i got some repairs and went back for more.

i cant belive an awing can solo a star destroyer when that same awing cant even take a tier4 decimator. it took me a good 30min, but i never really feared for my life. the turbo laster had a really hard time tracking me.
i would post the screenies in here, but i took 6 and they are 500k a peice, not dial up material by any means.
if you want to check out the screen shots they can be found here.

Using MS paint, you can open the picture then immediately re-save them. It will automatically compress them into a smaller size for you. Like double digit to very low triple digit size in most cases.
I noticed from the pictures that the guns seemed to be trained on other white dots (NPCs?) while you were attacking. This could account for some of the ease. Also, an A-Wing is VERY fast, almost too fast for an ISD cannon to lock onto... which is why they use Fighters to defend themselves. ISDs were mainly ment for Capitol-to-capitol ship combat, not skermish with fighters. That's why whenever you check all these websites that have a listing of different ships you often find a lot of smaller sized ships with heavy weapons who's sole purpose was to act as a screen against fighters for ISDs and the like.
But nice screenies, btw.

hehe... the IFF works on the ISD? A small burst of energy can scramble the targeting computers on a huge ass ship? Can somebody say "oops!"
