This may be a stupid question to some, and I appologize if its already been asked. I already preordered my JTL for my main account and plan to be an Imperial pilot. I was wanting to make my secondary a shipwrite, but not bother with pilot. I was wanting to find out if you can become a shipwrite without being registered to fly on JTL.

A far as i know ya need the expansion to be a sw, but, pilot does'nt use any skill points so would advise makeing yer pilot a sw .this will also help when making ship parts as you wont have to switch accounts to put yer parts ya make in yer ship to test out .

you need JTL to be a pilot too. and the pilot skills dont use sp. thats true, but your regular character will be your pilot, you dont get a new character. so if your regular character doesnt have any more Skill points left, he CAN become a pilot, but not a shipwright, and you will NEED jtl for each profession.

I was just thinking about something.. What will happen to people that dont get JTL, will they be able to contact shipwrites or will these new professions and other new options not be available to the "non-JTLs" ??

i'm sure it'll be like any exspantion(SP) in a MMORPG, you can see the new species, look at the new skills but not use them til you buy the thing
