This mission is still broken, devs. When you get to Dathomir space and hit the first 2 waypoints, everything is fine. When the fight between the Hutts and Rancor Clan spawns, however, things stop working. For one thing, Rancor Clan is neutral to you...and by default, the Hutts, too. So when you get to the waypoint, you see 5 Hutt fighters and 5 Rancor Clan fighters just sitting there in nice, neat lines. Doing nothing. Firing one shot at a Rancor Clan fighter causes ALL of them to go red and aggro you...but the Hutt clan, your "Allies" still sit there and do nothing. The first battle is do-able, despite being outnumbered 5 to 1. The SECOND such fight is NOT do-able, as you face THREE tier 5 gunboats (while you're stuck at tier 4) and two tier 3 Rancor Clan aces. This mission would be possible if your Hutt "allies" aided you...but apparently the pilots are busy doing the most valuable activity in AI priorities...which is absolutely nothing. I've bugged this...twice....and I put in a customer service ticket asking for a way to get arond this. I've done this before with broken missions (like the Imperial theme park missions where the contact you're supposed to speak with aggro's you on spawn), yet this time, the response I got was a very polite "shut up".

So...considering this mission was broken in Beta and hasn't seemed to change much...is there any idea when it'll get fixed?

I parked myself in the cluster of Hutt ships and took a few shots at the Rancors. Then I waited for their counterattack and for a shot to go wide. One of them hit the Hutts and everything went normally from there.

Thanks, I'll give that a try....I guess fifth time's the charm, eh? =)


Although, I have to say that trying to figure out ways to make broken missions work is kind of not a good idea from a CS standpoint...Like the Imp Theme Park missions. So the CSRs can suggest a way AROUND the problem...shouldn't SOMEONE be busy fixing it?

They should be, but a Jedi fell down and got a boo-boo on his knee, so all the devs are addressing that issue.

Ha! Jedi...heh.


Anyway, gave it another try, it worked better, but still fudged up. I sat in the middle of the Hutt fighters and one of them got shot...misfortunately, as soon as I disabled the ship that attacked them, they killed it and then stopped once more. And the ship that they're firing at is still shooting at ME....on the second waypoint, I miscounted...it's 3 tier 5's and 4 tier 3's....7 ships in total. At that one, the Hutts went after one of the tier 3 Rancor Clan soldiers. Once I disabled it, they killed it and stopped dead...woo. I almost got it...was down to two of the tier 5 gunboats and ran into the middle of the Hutt fighters...they went after one of the gunboats...then one of the gunboats fired a missile. =( It wiped out the last 20% of my armor or so and blew me up, one shot.

I've also tried hiring people to fly with me, but on the Corbantis server, I don't think anyone on Tatooine is around my tier yet...or else they're busy doing their own missions.
