it has a visual effect of 4, but you can only equip one weapon at a time on it (one weapon, and one ordenance)

Is it the same with the X wing?

the Xwing can fit 3 weapons in it (lasers) and 2 (possiably 1) Ordenance!

(Note the X-wing is a heavy fighter, ala Opressor/Advanced, the Interceptor is a "Interceptor" (duh ) like a A-wing, they fly very differantly!)

No, the X-wing can equip three lasers (with a total of 6 beams showing).

X-wing cant hit what it cant target. The TIE interceptor is the most manuveriable ship of all. Even more so then the A-wing. Ax-wing may have those shields, weapons and armor but a interceptor can chew up its six quite nicely

6 laser beams showing? w.t.f. is that?

As for the interceptor, it's supposed to have 4 laser cannons (supposed to be same with the X-wing). Now whether or not the weapons come in sets and therefore making 2 laser cannons count as 1 weapon, I don't know (but that's the way it sounds).

Also, I saw someone call the X-wing a heavy fighter. It's not. The B-wing is the heavy fighter. The X-wing is supposed to be a nicely blended mix, making it a 'superiority' fighter.

Yeah, for some reason you can stick one extra pair of lasers on the wings. I doubt you'll see a lot of people do that in the end, though. Takes too much mass and energy to have three good weapons.

According to the devs, the X-wing is a heavy fighter. That's what they set it as when they tinkered with the flight model anyway.

Especially if the TIE interceptor is using that nasty imperial weapon overload thing.

Figures. Another example of the Devs twisting the continuity which ever way they please.

Don't worry too much about it. It handles pretty nicely anyway. I think they decided on calling it a heavy fighter since it had such a huge amount of firepower. I never quite did understand why they gave it the extra hardpoints for lasers though...
