I knew in Beta that it was gonna be a pain to have to rely on Shipwrights to get your ship up and running...
They did a good job with the Bazaar/Vendor listings, but they don't appear on the overhead map like other professions.
And to find a shipwright who is available to reverse engineer (slice) all of your ship components is a real pain.
I mean, of the people who are in SWG, only a small percentage even have the JTLS ability to be a shipwright.
And of those JTLS enabled accounts, only a very small portion have become shipwrights.
Anyone else having a hard time getting things from shipwrights?

Except for my guild SW and a couple of SW's that gouge the public, they are nonexistent. I'd say I've seen less than 10.

There are tons of Novice Shipwrights, like myself, whats hard to come by at the moment is the masters simply because of the resources needed to Master.

Iagree that finding ships is not so hard, affording them is.
Master Shipwright takes about 4.6 million resources, even a z95 chassis takes over 5000 resources, which means a starting character could make maybe 2 chassis per day (based on personal harvesters).
From my point of view as a pilot, I'm now 2.2.2.2. and could barely afford a Tier 1 ship (Y-wing).
Theseare going for around 90k (they take about 15k resources each to make) plus the 15k credits to the chassis dealer, soonly established characters can either make them, or afford them. Oddly, I don't particularly blame the shipwrights, these prices are about 6cpu which doesn't sound so bad - but given the amount of resource necessary to build the chassis, this makes for steep prices.
I suspect a lot of people will be coming back to SWG for JTL and a lot of them, like me, won't have much money or anything in the bank - they're going to be stuck in Tie Lights, z95s or whatever for a while.
Probably prices will slump slightly in a few weeks, but even so, you won't be able to afford a ship equal to your abilities unless you play the ground game too.
