I assume that as a rebel or imperial you go declare get a faction aligned base/space station. But how can a nuetral pilot fight along? Can he declare and attack either side, or does he have to allign himself for a short peroid of time with either the rebellion or empire?

I doubt neutrals can declare as a third overt faction, although three-way battles would be sweet.

My privateer alt, who's a rebel on the ground can declare overt rebel in space no problem.

So whatever faction your are on the ground, you will be able to declare as in space as a privateer?

(IE a privateer that is Imperial on ground will declare his allegiance to the empire in space at a imperial space station?)
