First off sorry if this has been addressed somewhere else (at work and don't have time to search) or its in the manual and I'm missing something or I'm just stupid.
I have a Y-wing and loaded a Class 3 blaster as my primary weapon (fires fine) and a disruptor for my secondary weapon.
Can't get the secondary wep to fire. I have it in the same group as my primary. When I fire that group only the primary wep fires. When i hit the button to fire my sec wep nothing happens.
I've tried putting the sec wep into the second group my itself and it won't fire there either.
Am I missing something? Bug?
Thanks in advance.

If both weapons are in the same group they should both fire with each squeeze of the trigger. Did you try switching the load positions of the cannons? Try putting your secondary cannon in the ship as the ONLY weapon and make sure it fires. The cannon isn't damaged right? You are certified to equip it right? And it is displayed in your weapon group config screen (G key) right? I know these are noob questions but I'm just suggesting anything I can think of. Worst case: unequip all components, re-deed the ship and try it again.

Ok, i may be wrong, but i believe the secondary weapon on the Y -wing can only be used by another passenger on the ship. The Y-wing Longprobe allows you to use the secondary weapon, but not the Y-wing. I know my buddy was able to work the other guns when he grouped with me.

I'm having the same problem. There was a lot of trouble in beta with the message '[debug] Weapon disabled' with secondary weapons, so possibly it's this bug coming back, but without the debug message. I'm also wondering if this is something to do with me not having a second pilot in the ship

I never flew a y-wing but you could be right.

The wep is not damaged and I am qualified to use it. It does show up in the grouping screen and I can assign it to different groups.
Don't worry bout the noob questions, I am a noob to JTL after all
Intersting idea about it being used by a passenger. I didn't know the Y-wing had that feature. I'll try that for sure.
Is there any place ship info like that is documented? Can't find anyhing.

yeah this bug was present yesterday, I'm planning to trade in my Ywing for a Ywing "Longprobe", the longprobe's weapons seem to be linking properly.

Yes the secondary weapon is only for a person sitting in the gunner position. However if what you are saying about the long probe is true that you can fire both I am gonna have to get one of those. I wan't gonna bother with it and just wait it out for the X-Wing.

Whats the difference between the longprobe and the regular Y-wing?
And where is it documented if at all?

I thought the longprobe was for multiplayer or did I have the two confused.

the y-wing is designed to only fire the turret with a gunner in it as far as i know,it isnt a bug,its been working fine for me with a gunner in there

Y-Wing standard is a two seater with one weapon operable from the pilots seat and the second being control by the turret gunner. The Y-Wing Longprobe is a single seater with the turret now being fixed forward and under the control of the pilot. It's been stated earlier in the thread, this is probably why you're second weapon is not firing.

Unfortunately, as much as i like JTL, the trend of poor dev to player communication has continued. As usual, it will be up to us players to find out through trial and error, then inform each other. Not that theres anything wrong with that, its just a little more painful than it has to be. *HINT HINT DEVS*
