Kyara, A friend from my roleplaying town (neutral town) gave an open invite to other people to come along and help on her duty mission. She is imperial on the ground and privateer in space. Me andFwed decided to join her, I'm imperial both on the ground and in space,Fwed isa rebel on the ground and in space. First off it was just me and Kyara, we group up in spaceand we had some fun in Lok while waiting for Fwed to join us. We worked together without a problem. We then hyperspace to Dantooine to do the mission and invite fwed into the group.
The mission starts and I find that everytime I hit something it beeps ... meaning I don't have permission to attack her mission targets which were neutral ships (Me and Kyaradestroyed neutral ships in lok without a problem). Fwed is initially able to attack and damage the mission ships but then gets the same problem as me ... it beeps ... he can't do anything ... he did hit an imperial ship. Fed up that I can't do anything, I hyperspace out of the system and disband ... which doesn't sort out that fwed and kyara cannot attack ships together ... fwed later got attacked by a neutral, non-mission ship and Kyara couldn't help him. I try the knowledge base which is less than useless in answering my problem.
I think because of our mix there may have been a permission conflict. Also she got the mission before grouping
Later that night, me and Katsumi went out into space together, grouping and then getting our missions. We're both imperial space and imperial ground and had no problems whatsoever ... we had a lot of fun and kicked ass in dantooine.
In the ground game we can hunt together without a problem. Whats up with the space aspect? I can understand me not being able hit ties and fwed not being able to rebel ships ... but neutral ships?

Does anyone have any knowledge or info they could share about group space combat? because this is confusing as it stops us doing town space stuff.

In the ground game you can group with anyone anddo non-faction missions. Can we do this in space? if so how?
