Thread: Please help with Tier 2 Disable and dock with Lambda Shuttle, Dock permission denied

This mission is going to make me commit suicide, Im supposed to disable and dock with the ship but it wont let me dock. I take out the lambda ships engines and its sitting there, still can fire but if i shot it more it blows up. When i get it stopped and i inspect it its the right one, then i try to dock and it says that im denied. Can someone tell me what im doing wrong? What does it take for me to disable the ship?

To disable ship you have to destroy engines or reactor.
To hit engines or reactor you have to use "[" or "]" keys after selecting Lambda to chose what you want to destroy.

after destoying 50% of shields and armor engines will start to be hitting by your lasers...

alot of times people just shoot out the engines, without realizing they need to target the specific engine component with the [ key. i made the mistake more than a few times of apporaching the ship, thinking i had it targetted but really i had targetted a ship off in the distance by mistake. double check both of those and see if that fixes the problem, and inspect the ship before you dock, although i'm not sure if that makes a difference, i just did vortex squadron with a similar mission and that's the method i used.

no i dont think he tried it, i was stuck on the same mission for a month until somone told me about [ and ] and then i did it very easily,
i looked in the instructions and couldnt find anything about [ and ] guess i didnt look hard enough lol

i just did that mission yesterday i it worked fine for me. First i blew up his engine then took out his weapon1(rear pointing turret taget by using brackets) and then i could dock with him.
PS make sure you have a cargo hold....i couldnt get it to work without one

Disable the reactor so nothing will work. Blowing up the engine just stops it. Shooting the reactor actually disables it so when you go near it andpoke it with a stick, nothing happens.

Make sure you're close enough to the target ship, too. I think it has to be as close as 25m.
