Thread: Smugglers Alliance faction issues after going to deep space. Please Help

I am a smugglers alliance master pilot and nuetral on the ground. Both Imperials and Rebels have always been yellow to me, neither agressive and both attackable. Since I am a true nuetral I like this.


However the other day I went into deep space, and had to choose a side so i choose the Empire. After I left deep space, in kessel and every other parts of space rebels were aggro to me and imps were unattackable white dots.


I figured it was a bug and figured if I logged for a while it would go back to normal. Well after logging overnight I went back and sure enough I was still considered to be imperial it seemed. So i waited another 24 hours waiting for a server reboot. Server was taken down this morning and I log back in and nothing changed, the system sees me as imperial although I am nuetral on the ground and smugglers alliance in space. (Rebels are still aggro and imps are unattackable) I figured it must have been becuase I had gone into deep space a few days ago, so to test my theory I head back to deep space, this time as a rebel. Sure enough now all imps (outside of deep space) aggro me and all rebels are unattackable.


Is there anyway to get things like they originally were, with both rebs and imps being attackable and non aggro? This seems to persist beyond server reboots.


Please help.

you could try joining a ground faction, or even see if one of them reconize you as a member and then resign. it might set things back to normal for you

- I support NO DECAY.It should be run like EQ . No 20k price cap on the bazar and everyone can craft. Its has worked for 7 years on everquest and there is no decay plenty of money and no crazy prices.

Decay is only good for crafteres and bad for everyone else.

Correct on both points, redeeding is the fix.


Btw, well done on figuring out deep space was the cause. Nice to see people think for themselves.

Thanks so much! Re-deeding was the trick. At this point I am just glad there was a way to put it back. I love the PVE aspect of deep space, I wish there was something similar without the PVP elelment, since a kryat is not exactly a PVP ship. Oh well I guesswhen someone shoots me down I will just leave and re-deed and come back when they are gone.

I think, from an RP perspective, its kinda cool.


Of course the rebel/imperial forces are going to keep records of unknown ships they come up against, and are going to shoot on sight the next time they see that ship
