With another expansion on the way once again there seems to be no love for JTL. What I would love to see is a remote region of space double or triple the size of existing space sectors. It would contain bountiful space resources which are badly needed on both fronts. Rebels and Imperials would go head to head. There would be 3 non attackable space station in the sector, one for each faction. Pilots of different faction would have a possibility to land at factional station and WALK,INTERACT,REPAIR their ships. Central area of the sector would be reserved from dogfights between the rebels and imps. Because this space sector would be bigger than any existing developers will have a chance to put 2-3 ISD type ships in for both sides of the conflict. PvP would be consential, destroying PvE and PvP enemies would grand points to your faction. At the end of each week faction that scored more points would get a bonus. Bonus could be a unique picture, mining laser, ETC.

If it would be a battle-zone, it would be great to have it as a decay-free zone, like deep space, but allowing non-masters in as well.

The having an attackable target for each of the three pilot factions doesn't make sense, at least to a privateer.
CorSec doesn't really approve of smuggling, and shouldn't rightfully care about Naboo. The Nubians shoot smugglers on sight and shouldn't really want to get into Corellian police business. And smugglers working with law enforcement? Feh.
Maybe it would be better to have a group of, say, six space stations in this giant space region. You havefour options on entering:
A. Enter as a freelance pilot. You can be shot at by anyone in space, regardless of faction or squadron. Entrance is free.
2. Register as a rebel or imperial, like in deepspace. Entrance is free in this case, as well. Defend the rebel or imperial space station! Cost is 30k prestige, as in deepspace.
III. Rent a space station for 500k prestige/hour. The station will spawn NPC battlegroups to help you defend it, like in deepspace. Great for setting up your own events.
δ. Enter space on the side of one of the guys who is renting the space station. This, too, is free.
