Thread: Ship Modifiers

Thanks for the info. I will try it out (but the A-wing will probably still be my main ship). I have trouble hitting anything with guns when they are placed on the end of wings (X-wing), so I need all the firing time I can get. I just figured there "might" be a chance of some modifier like there is on speed for different ships.

Thanks again.

Try decking out your Long Probe. I take mine into kessel and fight tier 5 stuff. Got a 3600 damage cannon and a 3200 damage cannon. stuff drops quick. Except for gunboats hehe.

One hint with the X-wing is when in a turn to follow an enemy ship dont roll use the yaw. All you need to do is hit with the two guns on 1 wing to count for all 4. Since they are on top and oposing. dont try to nail with all 4 its a futil effort. Whats real nice is if you can get all 3 blaster slots filled. then thats a damage dealing machine.

Hmmm, maybe once I get there I should drop Pilot and start over to get a second.

I am wondering if there is a modifier for each ship for the ship's capacitor rating (like there is for speed, yaw, pitch, etc)? The reason I ask this, is because I was thinking it really doesn't matter that a B-wing can hold more weapons if it can't recharge them fast enough. And since they don't make specialty equipment for the different ships well there should be some difference between a ship designed to be a gun boat (the B-wing) and a ship designed for speed (the A-wing) and everything inbetween (X and Y-wings) when it comes to capacitors.

I mean I have a nice 2300-3600 damaging blaster, that is 14.1 energy per shot. Now even *IF* I could get 3 more of these, it would still drain the 54.4 capacitor dry to quickly to be effective. So I would wind up only using, say, 3 of my weapon slots because there is no way to properly put 4 weapons on it and still be effective in battle.

I'm I making sense? If not, please let me know and I'll try and clarify.

Also, this is not a complaint (I don't even use the B-wing, I only fly an A-wing), but I have been wondering about this for awhile.

Thanks.

You would be suprised, That B-wing will hold a nasty huge capacitor. That 14 rate per shot gun will not do much drain. I have that 3600 damage reward gun plus a 3200 damage gun in my Y-Wing Long probe. A great capacitor and i can fire for about 20 seconds before i have to stop. If your on the trigger for that long your spraying and praying or maybe your on someones tail. Dont worry the odds of you getting another one of those 14 rate reward guns is few and far between, i only know 1 person that stumbled on some poor sap that sold it on the bazaar. I've got 3 advanced blasters on my X, and go through a combined 67 energy per cycle, and generally have no problems with my capacitor. I have a good capacitor, but usually I'm fully recharged by the time I focus on my next target.

I know this might be against your code of conduct but speak to an imp pilot about getting him to program some droid chips weapon overload 3 on one of those 3600 damage cannons means you can take a gunboat down fast.
also weapon tunning is kinda cool.

but yeah I suspect that any imp pilot will exchange chips with you for one of your sheild mod chips.
