Thread: How to destroy Freedom Station...(Deep Space)

Ok yall...flame all you want...brag all you want...but here's the facts on how to destroy Freedom Station in Deep Space. (With multiple rebel players present, and I did this solo...twice in an hour)
The key to surviving in Deep Space is to avoid being engaged by anyone at all. Cowardly? Maybe. Does it allow you to complete your objective? Yes.
Here's how you blow the Freedom Station.
Gear up your fastest loadout. You're going for speed/weapons/shields in that order. Armor weighs you down unless you're flying a firespray...so forget about it in exchange for that nice 95+ speed engine. Do all your droid specials BEFORE entering Deep Space. This means your reactor overload 4, engine overload 4, and weapon overload 3. (be sure you have countermeasures just incase some sneaky player gets a lucky missile off)
As soon as you spawn...slam that booster and fly to the clear part of the radar. Fly in a straight line...you'll get the most distance for your power. once your booster's empty...fly in the general direction of Freedom station, using your booster sparingly so you'll have enough for your attack run.
Once Freedom Station is within targetting range, (not firing range), target it and select the primary shield. The primary shield is at the 'top' of the station and is a VERY thin target. Fly full throttle towards the shield and start firing at 650m away. Once you draw even with the generator...hit the boost and escape from firing range. Let your shields/booster recharge while you're flying at full throttle. Turn around and repeat these attack runs until the primary shield is down.
The secondary shield is located at the 'bottom' of the station...and is another thin rod. Be sure you have it targetted or the hits won't count for as much damage. Perform exactly the same routine on the secondary shields until they're gone.
Next is the reactor. The reactor is located on the middle/side of the station. It's a nice, big, flat target if you fly in from the sides instead of the front/back. There's one on either side, so feel free to hit either one and it'll take damage.
Finally is the bridge. I hope you saved your bombs/missiles...because this one sucks. I managed to do the bridge in 6 attack runs with blasters...but there are 4 guns surrounding it that I wasn't able to destroy...so missiles make it a LOT easier. The bridge is on the right hand side of the station as you're facing it from the star destroyer side. It's a round bubble with windows on the extreme edge of the crossbar.
Once the bridge is destroyed...the entire station goes up in a satisfyingly large explosion. As a side-effect, the moment the station is destroyed...every NPC rebel in all of Deep Space instantly hypers out, leaving the players free to fight.
I recieved a 500k credit chip, and 7 loot items (levels 2-7) for killing Freedom station along with 10k prestige. For those of you pilots who think you're hot stuff...it's a fun challenge to try alone or with a group. Just remember that this IS a PvP zone...and to stay alive...you have to be fast. 1400 is about the cruising speed you need to have in order to really stand a chance at doing this alone in PvP space.
P.S. Bomber Strikes will NOT work on the station...so you have to do it yourself. Good luck!

you do know there are certain places you can just sit without moving to take out each of the subsystems right?

This is in Deep Space...on Corbantis...there are people in there all the time looking for the component campers. That's why you have to do attack runs...not because of the station threat...but because of the players.

Damn all I got for destroying the ISD was 100k prestige and 550 faction (since I declared before going to deep space). No loot, no credits...

all I can say is DONT do this, because the all seeing eye is keeping logs of people who do this

wish some rebs would kill the Star Destroyer on lowca ... would get everything ealse to respawn .. 3 days no reb ships in deep space .

ya that sucks that you get a huge reward for killing it, when the ISD doesnt give us anything. ive done it twice, i frist time i got 10k credits, second time 20k; no loot either time. if it is as easy as the isd, then 500k every 15-20min isnt bad income.
is the reward based on the number of players in the system? cause on bria deep space is dead.
