Thread: Ace pilot switches factions...what happens with JTL skills?

The title is the question.

If an Imperial Ace (master) decides to become a Rebel, how does that work regarding JTL?

What happens to ships?

What about faction related quest items, like fight suits, etc?

What about presitge points?

I looked but could not find a thread explaining this.

Thanks

from my personal experience, (althougth i wasn't a master) you lose all your XP. however loot continue's usable... probably not the Ace helmet, but not sure about that.

This situation concerns an Ace pilot...so the master rewards are a factor.

You definately lose Imperial Prestige points and obviously you'll lost the ability to write Imperial programs (so make up some chips before you drop the skills). Again, pretty obvious but you won't be able to fly your TIE's etc... not sure whether you can wear the faction clothing, sorry honey, but seeing as I've never seen an Alliance Ace in a TIE pilot uniform, I'm gonna bet not.

Hope that helps.

What happens to ships?
You will no longer be able to use your ships without certification.

What about faction related quest items, like fight suits, etc?
You will not be able to wear the ace rewards.

What about presitge points?
You lose all your prestige and EXP.

I aced Alliance, and then two days ago I dropped it and took up Freelancer. I can no longer wear my Alliance ace helmet nor jacket, nor can I use the ships (of course). Though I can still use the droid programs I set.

Be sure to remove all your parts before you deed your ship, as if you are ace and surrender it, then you won't even be able to manage and remove your parts from your ship, unless they changed this recentlty.

I think he is asking if he switches faction on the ground what will happen. Based on my experience, nothing much. You will still be able to fly you ship in space as an Imp, but you will not be able to take Imperial Missions.

I just had two former Rebel pilots join the Imperial guild I'm in. They both had to drop their pilot skills. I could be wrong, but I don't think your trainer will talk to you if you're of the opposing faction.

If you have an opposing side's piloting skills, the recruiter won't allow you to sign up. Right now I have 200 Rebel FP and about 1000 Imp FP. I'm unaligned on the ground and have Imperial piloting skills. If I go to the Rebel recruiter, he won't allow me to sign up for the Alliance. (I know, I tried. )

You're not allowed to sign up until you drop your imperial pilot skillz
