Correct. But not really a quick-fix because even if you spawn/load with wings open, the next time you do a hyperjump the B-Wing will automatically close and turn 90 degree (with wings still open as you said) before it jumps and thus will load at your destination system with wings closed which you cannot open again.

I really wish they would fix that, this I guess very-easy-to-fix bug is out for weeks now and it annoys me greatly each time I go to space - in fact I've been less to space due to the bug. The B-Wing is my favourite ship (in fact I only have a B-Wing at the moment, X-Wing is in the hangar too but not ready to fly and keeps getting dust...) and even though it's "only" a graphical thing, it looks so silly and annoying that I feel the urge to land it very soon after I started each time..
