Hello, Do you have to be a rebel pilot in order to use the Heavy X-Wing? I would assume so, but I though I would ask anyway. I am a rebel, but a neutral pilot, and I did the quest and got the Heavy X-wing deed, and I figured that I would sell it if you need to be a rebel pilot in order to use it. Any feedback would be great!

Hey Zeke, how do you start this quest?

I started it by going to the Neutral Space station for Kashyyk, and doing some missions for them. They then send you down to Kashyyk and have you speak to someone who gives you more space missions. When the person on the ground asks you if the missions were easy or hard, choose hard. If you choose easy it is a bug, and you will be stuck. Then you will go and do another mission for the space station I think, then the person on the ground will send you to the rebel space station to do some missions for them. The final mission being to disable a Corvette, which I did solo, but it took me a couple of tries.

I'm a 4433 Neutral pilot, and I fly one of those high level neutral ships that I can't even pronounce. A rhyrykk or something like that. I have mainly level 7 and 8 components loaded into it. I have 3 blasters and am lucky enough to have a cap that recharges pretty quickly. Anyway, OnceI'm 1000m from the vette, he unloads on me, so I do a fly-by on the vette. I stay about 900m away , and I hit my booster. It's usually enough to still get nailed a couple of times by the vette, but it gets the escort ships to follow me. Once I'm a safe distance from the vette, I turn around and take out the escort ships that are following me. THey are all level 4 or 5, but if you are at least a level 4 pilot with decent components, you should take them. Then I head back for the vette. Approach the vette from the rear. It will fire on you, but don't do anything. park your ship directly behind the engines, and match the vettes speed. It's basically a blind spot sitting behind the engines, so it won't fire on you. It changes direction every now and then, so make sure you change direction with it. The trick is to follow the vette for awhile. It will head towards the rebel outpost. Once the vette is about 5500m away from the rebel outpost it will hyper out, so when you are 6000m away from the rebel outpost, do the following:

1. Target the main shield and hit it with missles. I used Mark III Protons, and it took me around 2 or 3 to destroy the shield.

2. Target and destroy the backup shield with missles.

3. Targe the engine and destroy the engine with missles. You should have 3 missles left after destroying the shields, and it takes 2-3 to get the engine. Engine gone, ship disabled.

4. Once ship is disabled, the rebel outpost sends a ship to reclaim the vette. stay behind the engines of the vette at this point, because the blasters can still fire at you I think.

5. The rebels will reclaim the ship. You only have to escort it for a fairly short distance before it hypers out. The first wave of ships you will face are level 4-5, and then a bigger wave of level 2. You will have help fighting them from the vette and nearby rebel ships. The trick is that if you disabled the vette where I told you to, then you won't see any gunboats before it hypers out, which makes it much easier for you. The gunboats ate me alive. If you aren't a level 4 or master pilot, then you probably need some help with this. Good luck!

Hello, I want to sell my Heavy X-wing deed, but I want to make sure of some things before I sell:

1. Is the deed even tradeable?

2. Can the buyer use the ship if he didn't finish the quest himself, like the ARC-170?

I allready have a buyer, so any info would be greatly appreciated!

It's tradeable, I think, but your buyer wouldn't be able to fly it unless he's already completed the quest himself.

Like many of you I love my heavy xwing but I am starting to see a problem in the future. I have noticed that my Chassis is starting to get real low, b/c like many people I take unecessary risks with it, and I was wanting to know if it decays beyond use can I get another one by doing another mission or am I SOL?

And is SOE or the corrisondant for these forums looking into a way where the Chassis doesn't degrade?

I have read that once it gets below a certain point, the chassis will stop decaying. What that means for you, is that you will experience a quicker explodey death when your armor is whacked.

Wow, if that is true then great. Once the blasters get past my armor I am basically SOL anyways. Thanks for the fast reply.
