once you've picked a side (rebel, imp, priv) can you go back and change sides? I took priv but think I wanna go imp..I've only done one mission and haven't "finished" it by talking to the trainer again...if you can switch how do you?

thanks.

Try to drop a box, I think it gives you instructions ... I should try that myself, just to see.

I switched from Rebel to Imperial a week ago. I can let you know what I did, although I am pretty sure there is an easier way. Also, since you are a Privateer, a lot of the faction stuff may not apply.

First thing I did was resign from the Rebellion..this action automatically deleted all of my Rebel piloting skills. A word of warning...do NOT give up your piloting XP wiht the Inspiration buff on...it will take away 10% in addition to what you already have. I am told that the devs know about this bug, but I haven't seen or heard of any action being taken to restore the lost XP....I had to start over at -8500. Maybe it will be addressed in the next patch?

After resigning, I had to actually join the Imps in order to become a pilot...this took a while, since my Imp faction was really low. I ended up buying the faction from a smuggler. In the meantime, I took a neutral piloting skill so I could have a ship to use.

After joining the Imps, I was able to drop the neutral skill and start taking Imp pilot skills.

Like I said, this may have been the hard way to go about doing this. I didn't even try giving up my skills one by one..maybe that would have saved some time.

Good luck!
