Err anyway, lets find out more: What squadron, what exactly are you doing to disable, what is the game telling you? More info.
Real quick: its LAMBDA, lambda, the greek symbol, not Lambada, a Latin American dance often related to being sex on a dancefloor.
Are you a Rebel Havoc pilot? Are the "escorts" reporting as "Elite Guards?" Sometimes the "escorts" are just natural spawn in the area, that you may be able to wait for.
Is this a Tier 2 mission from Lok? Is it a Tier 3 mission part from Yavin?
If its the latter, then you have a timer on knocking out the Lambda. Are you targetting the engine? Reactor? Sometimes its buggy and tells you that you've disabled the ship for taking out the engine, but no credit for the mission until you take out the reactor. Are you flying close enough to the ship after its disabled in order to get a message that "You droid is launching assault droids to take care of the shuttle?" Do you have to inspect the shuttle prior to doing anything to it? Do you have to dock with it after its disabled?
Again, more information, some of the missions ask you to do a bunch of things.
