Very good points. Especially the part about escort missions. They are very boring and I'd like to see those kept to a minimum when it comes to post-master content.

First off, I'd like to thank the devs for the additional new missions that they've already added to the game. That being said, I think I speak for a lot of players when I say that we could still use a lot more post-master content. Now, I'm not asking for any sort of new game systems, instead I'd just like to make a few suggestions on how new missions that are added in the future could be more tailored towards the post-master crowd.



  1. Use A LOT more Tier V enemies. A mission made for post-master players should consist entirely of Tier V enemies, and these enemies should come in waves of 6 to 10 fighters at a time.

  2. Use A.I. equipped Gun Boats more often. Right now in the game, almost all Gun Boats fly on a set course, even when attacked. However, there are a few Gun Boats that appear in missions that have some level of A.I. attached to them. These gunboats will turn and chase an attacker and will manuever to get their guns on their target. A Tier V gunboat equipped with such A.I. is argueably the hardest thing in the game. It would be nice to see more of these A.I. equipped gunboats in post-master missions. A mission that involved fighting several of these Gun Boats at once, plus a swarm of Tier V fighters, would be difficult enough that most masters would need to use a group.

  3. Don't make long escort mission. Pretty much every player in the game hates the long escort mission. Escort missions should NEVER last longer than 15-20 minutes. Also, make sure that the attack waves come at fast pace. For a post-master mission, I would much rather have to waves come so fast that I need to bring a wingman with me, rather than have the waves come so slow that I end up sitting around for 5 minutes between each wave.

  4. If you are putting together a multi-leg mission, make sure only one leg is an escort mission. Escort mission for the most part are the most boring type of mission there is, and there's nothing worse than having to run two or three escorts in a row.

  5. Consider adding Tier VI enemies. It would be nice to have some enemies that present a challenge in smaller numbers. Right now, Tier V enemiesdon't fly nearly as fast or turn nearly as sharp as many player ships. I would suggest adding Tier VI enemies that fly faster, turn sharper, fire more often, and hit harder than Tier V enemies.

  6. Consider adding more capital ships to fight. The model forthe Nebula B Frigate is already in the game, so it shouldn't be too hard to add. However, in order to make it more difficult than the corvette, I would suggest making sure that unlike the corevette, it has more than just one gun on the bottom. Idealy it would have multiple guns covering all fire arcs so that it would be difficult to create a blind spot on it. If this Nebula B was then escorted by A.I. equipped Gun Boats and a swarm of Tier VI fighters, you would have a mission that would require a skilled group to complete.
