I am currently 3 3 3 3 freelance pilot
I am flying a ixyen fast attack fighter
i dont know if i should train in component use next or train in exotic ships to get the kixyan heavy ship
I heard the next ship is very sluggish but it has more mass my current ship is slow but not as slow as my kimogolia im having a hard time killing tier 4 ties and other fast ships cause they out run me i dont know what to train in

I always trained in components first. The way I figure it is a new ship wont do you much good unless you have good components for it. Of course, though, new components wont do you much good unless you have a ship with high enough mass to accept them.
But you should still be able to fit a few of the higher-level components from tier 4 onto your ship. Just not completely decked out with them.

A higher-level shield or blaster may just save your hide in space.

thats how i figured it. I'd rather have the 'equipment' tree first, that way i'm not flying around in a better ship with crappy gear. i'd rather fly around in a smaller ship with some above class parts, THEN when i do get access to the better ships i can outfit them right away! i think this is the best order
