Thread: JTL Pre-order Package What if your accounts are already in beta?

From what I read on the package of the JTL Preorder, you have to register the key on the cd case like we did with our beta invites, but what if we are already in beta? How can we claim our flash speeder?

You have to register the preorder pack to recieve the Speeder. Just follow the beta signup instructions on the box and you'll be set. It will still let you register the preorder pack even if you are currently in beta. (At first it wasn't but it is fixed now so you should be fine).

Hey at least you get a preorder CD grrr. The Gamestop I ordered from said that all PC games are special order only and they weren't getting anything from SOE until the actual game releases, and only then only as many copies as was preordered.
...I shoulda ordered online and waited the couple days for delivery...

The inside of the pre-order beta disc lists the directions on what to do. I am already in beta when I got this, and I found I only needed to do step 1 of the "How To Register" section. Once I did that, I logged on to beta, and I got an e-mail telling me that the flash speeder was in my inventory, and it was. You won't actually get to claim the flash speeder on live until JTL goes live. Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for that info. Was worried that I'd screw up the key if I tried that.

That's weird. I ordered it from gamestop.com and recieved my discs last week.

Ouch, I'm sorry to hear that. Our gamestop here was real cool about it. I'm fortunate to live in a small town I suppose.

I didn't order mine from Gamestop.com. I ordered mine from GameStop the actual store in the mall because I didn't want to wait on gamestop.com to ship my game and take a few extra days to get to me. My case is because I went through the store and not the website.

then tell the Game Stop manager that he needs to contact corporate. By offering preorder purchasing but not honoring the promotion that SOE is offering, he is breaking Game Stop's deal with SOE and can be in big trouble for it.

Game Stop and GameStop.com are not actually connected, is what I was told by both a GameStop manager and CSR at GameStop.com (I found that out on a completely unrelated purchase). So it's entirely possible that the brick and mortar GameStop has no affiliation with SOE's offer. I'm not sure about that, soI'd go ahead and check that out. Even if that's correct, you might be able to get a manager who's cool enough to try and do something about it, as I've had happened (which has made me loyal to them over EB).

Go back to that store and have them look through the store from top to bottom. I had the same problem when I went to reserve it. I called the store ahead and they said they had them there but when I got to the store later (the guy i talked to had already left) they didn't know what I was talking about so I had them look through boxes in the back and they found them. They had no idea they were supposed to be handed out when the game is reserved. They thought it was some promotional junk to had out when the game went live. Looks like there was some poor communication between corporate office and their stores.
Go back to the store, more than likely there still there hiding in a box in the back room like mine was.
