Is there something explicit in it? If not then why is that a rule?

If there wasnt a NDA bunch of little kids would get in the way pissing off people who are testing.Thats why SWG sucks because devs lifted the NDA.

To further elaborate....
Contracts aren't binding on minors. The NDA is a miner. If a minor broke the NDA, then SOE couldn't do anything to them.
One of the reasons there is an NDA is that SOE doesn't want a lot of information about the game floating out there while it is still in Beta and things are changing. Not to mention, since it is Beta and not a finished product, the game may not be polished and some may have bad playing experiences. If there is no NDA, then any player could give out information that would hurt sales of JTL when it isn't finished. You can extrapolate other reasons from that.

Excuse me? Not only are you a hypocrite (accusing minors off pissing off people, while actually pissing the minors off yourself AND saying the game sucks), but you are also misinformed. The NDA means "Non Disclosure Agreement". Meaning people can't tell anyone that does not participate in the testing critical information about how the game is going to be. Ofcourse the upper management lifted the NDA of SWG, because generally people don't put an NDA on a retail product, in fact I believe it can't even be done, but I haven't studied laws so kindly correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't think it's because minors are always immature (Seriously, I've known 14 year olds from game clans that act way more mature then alot of people I see...this thread, for example...), it's most likely because people are just looking for a minority to bash.

Now, i won't act as if i know law, but from what i see Beta is closed to minors due to the fact.......
Any lawsuit filed would likly be rebuffed buy the court system, the parents can't take responsibility for their child on things like this....unless the parents signed that form allowing the minor to participate
Contracts aren't legal on minors
One under the age of 18 often will have a dull, unpolishe dopinion and an underknowledge on the workings of a game, breaking teh NDA repititously, bringing bad information about this, and no doubt wreaking havoc in Beta
BTW, if that is insulting, Beta is not a gift, it is testing, it is restrcited to SOE's perameters, and they can do with it as they please.......
One a side note, i am not in Beta, and i am a minor

When you get older you'll understand this reason. Immature minds is not whatSOE or any developerneeds in the first stages of beta for getting thefeedback they need. Or they'll just be bombarded with OMG this sux,OMG this is so buggy,OMG I can't believe you've not fixed this yet and more OMG OMG OMG useless personall immature opinion feedback crap. Instead of construtive useful informationto helpfix issues and improve things.

I'm 16 and so far I haven't seen an immature 16/17 year old, you people generalize way too much. I've never pissed anyone off on a server which I've played on for over 9 months (FarStar) and I'm actually quite liked and well known there, I don't type with "u" "omgzz" "suxx" etcetera. And no, I am not an exception. There are three other 16 year olds in my guilds and none of them act immature, and there is only one that uses the idiot-speech (u, etc.).
I'm offended, not by the NDA because I completely understand that, but the way you generalize and think of pre-mature people.
