Sorry if this has been posted, I spent a half hour looking for a guide, so I'm giving up and asking.

I'm on the Dathomir 3.1 mission. The one where you dock with an imperial shuttle, then follow it and fight off some TIEs, then dock again, the fly to another waypoint and dock with some rebel gunships, and then...well, I dunno what's next, I keep getting my arse kicked. I've tried this with 5 other people, and we still can't get through it.

Now I don't have a problem taking the TIEs...the problem is that I just get overwhelmed. Eventually there's just wave after wave, and they take me out.

I heard of people doing this alone, so I'm assuming I just suck. And I'm fine with that. But I'm desperate now. Does anyone know how to get through this? Preferably alone? I've done the mission 5 times now, at 45 minutes each, so I'm starting to get bored trying.

Feel free to flame me and tell me how much I suck, just please give me a guide. PLEASE

Dont feel bad. I had a ywing a hutt medium fighter and myself in a ywing with a gunner and it was a no go. So I posted too a day ago. The advice was to disable the ties, not distroy them. This cuts the spawn rate on new ties coming. Also, it was suggested to use IFF scramble. Hope it helps, waiting for servers to come online to give it a go.

Just to be clear, disable means target the engines, right? Or is there another easier or better way to disable?

you suck.

however, let's give it another spin tonight- since upgrading to my kicking ion-canons, i'm finding myself to be a LOT more effective by simply targetting reactors and taking the ships out of play and leaving them to be cleaned up afterwards- last night Wilf & I had a half-dozen dead fishies in our wake while we took out the incoming. I know I disabled the shuttle repeatedly for Quartz when he was doing this, but if we try it tonight, lets make sure half the task-force is on disable-duty and are busy disabling the TIEs.

no, taking out the engines doesn't disable the ship, it just stops it from moving - guns & shields still work - take out the reactor and they seem totally lifeless. if you get close enough, you can even see the expressions of the ships crew slowly change as the life support runs out.

now THAT'S content.
