I don't like the red flash that you see every time you get hit, because it's unrealistic and distracts you from where your enemy is going, and only makes it harder to find them.

I wish you could turn the lasers off I dont need to see them... After i play for a few hours it gets annoying and starts to hurt my eyes.

Mess witht he video settings, i get no flash or annoying laser problems in any ship. Could be your video card too, i have all the DX9 options set.

Hi everyone,
I don't know if I am the only one feeling like this but for me the "flash" that is generated everytime I fire the weapon in my TIE (normal TIE - not starter) it brings me close to epileptic seizure. To me, this flash is way, way too intese.
No doubt about it having to be there but please, devs. Lower the intensity of it somewhat.
Playing JtL in "first person" mode is so much more fun than playing in 3rd person - but this "I illuminate the whole ship interior" sort of flash coming from the weapons is terrible.
I guess it wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't happening too often but when I'm in a dogfight I basically shoot all the time which means: Flashing all over - constantly.
And somehow I can't believe that I am the only one feeling like this...or am I? You tell me!

Weird. I don't even get a flash. Could it be your video settings?

Open your option menu
Go in misc
At the bottom, remove the *show cockpit*
You should feel a whole lot better now that the flash won't reflect in your cockpit.

i get alot of flash as well but i like it and think its cool....if you dont like the flash of your lasers change them out.....some lasers dont have as much flash

Thanks for that info - but I would like to keep the cockpit.

A faster way is ctrl-shift-F2.

Hey, that cockpit removal really did the trick!
And it doesn't look that bad either.
