Anyone know how to dock with another ship?
I tried this on several occasions and it doesnt seem to work...

You have to disable it first by targeting the engines or reactor then stop next to it and type /dock.

He's got it -> but I've only found it useful for missions...

Hmmm.. I tried it on a mission last night. The only thing it kept saying was "The pilot doesnt give youi permission to dock"
Or something like that. I had the engines down. Does docking the ship have to be part of the mission?

It depends on the mission. Press J in space to check the mission details. Some missions require you to disable and then sit near it while "People onboard take control", while others require you to disable, inspect, and then dock.

Also.. Can players dock other players ships that have been disabled?

I docked with a ship last night that was in no way part of any mission I had. It was just a random personel freighter with a couple of escorts I quickly dispatched of. After docking I recevied a msg that I had taken some documents. However, there was nothing in my inventory and nothing in my data-pad.
Anyone else get this??

i too docked withan npc freightor but couldn't find my loot either...
