Hey, just got JTL and am loving it. However, i'm at a roadblock with a mission that is killing me. My standard tie fighter that was given to me can not handle the current mission I'm on.
I spent about an hour 1/2 last night asking random people how to find or where to buy new imperial ships, but no one seemed to know (or care).
Can someone please give me a little help on trying to buy a new ship? I'm stuck until I can figure this out and I looked all over the place on Bestine with no luck?
Help???

Easiest way to find your new ship: Go to bazaar terminal. Hit the vedor location option. Hit entire galaxy option. Scroll down to ship components. select the chassis option. Find blueprints for the ship you can use. Go buy. Take blueprints to chassis dealer in starport. Get ship deed. Activate deed. Equip components into ship. Go kick butt.

Okay, Bazzar it is then. I hit that spot but didn't see anything locally. One more question...how do I know what ship(s) I can use?
On my skill list, I've finished the bottom row and am 1/2 way done with the second. Does that mean I'm tier 2? Not sure about that. Not getting the instructions from the digital download has kind of screwed me.

The first column of boxes is the ship chassis line. If you have that box in the second row (tier 2), you can use the TIE Fighter and TIE/In. You can check for yourself by clicking on the box and seeing what is listed under Commands and Abilities Granted.
The 2nd column is also important. That column tells you what level components you can use. If you have that box in tier 2 you can use up to level 5 components. Higher level components are stronger or faster or more powerful (generally) than lower level components.

If you can't find anything on the market terminals, go to your nav map and on the right hand side expand the "vendors" section. Scroll down to where you see something space related--I believe it's 'ships'--then click on that. On your nav map all of the vendors that claim tosell shipsand ship componentswill suddenly pop up for the planet that you're on. It can be time consuming to visit each one, but visit a few at leastto compare what they offer (and what you can really afford.) If you play on Tarquinas I might be able to give you a hand.
