Yall,
Now that the NDA is up. Here is the bad news:
1. No factories for shipwrights. We can run missles, countermeasures, and some sub components (limiters...) that go into components in equipment factories. So for lots of folks no need for new factories, but no love for architects.
2. For high end components there are new resources being introduced into the game. So our stockpiles are good for low end stuff, but there will be new things we need to scramble for.
3. We don't sell ships, we sell deeds. The deeds are taken to a chassis broker who then gives the player the ship. This also means, we don't sell completed products, we sell a chassis the player then has to buy all the other components to get it into space.
Good News:
1. Since we sell deeds to chassis and not finished ships, there are no subcombines for ships. You just put in resources.
2. Resources requirements aren't bad. I will see if I can copy and post a comprehensive list here.

How to master shipwright
Supplies needed:
5 Ship crafting tools
1 Droid with Ship crafting module
1 or 2 droid batteries totalling at least 3 charges
2,311,000 Steel
589,000 Aluminum
1,162,000 Low-Grade Ore
547,000 Fiberplast
615,000 Inert Petrochemical
547,000 Iron
Got to town and stand near a Shipwright Skill Trainer.
Call your Droid.
Put your 5 Ship crafting tools on your toolbar.
Train in Novice Shipwright.
Craft 16 level 1 ships in practice.
Train Space Frame 1.
Craft 13 level 2 ships.
Train Space Frame 2.
Craft 13 level 3 ships.
Train Space Frame 3.
Craft 10 level 4 ships.
Train Space Frame 4.
Craft 56 level 5 ships. (training occasionally so as to not lose experience at cap, and recharging droid so it doesn't go poof))
I didn't do this calculation, lifted it off the beta boards. The amount of aluminum looks incorrect to me. I don't think it is feasible that you would need twice as much ore as aluminum, I need to check the numbers.

Thanks for the info
those requirements actually aren't too bad. They aren't complex, they just require tons of resrouces.
