That's a Technical Console, the kind that comes with the holographic display. I embedded a Data Terminal into it and raised it up a few notches so that it looks like that's the "main" face of the thing.

When you are first crafting an item, you're given the option of leaving it with the default item name, *or* changing the name to something else. So far as I know that's the only time that you can alter the name of an object other than what it's originally called. Just craft whatever you need and name it prior to final crafting. If it's an object you can't make, hire someone who can to fill an order, specifying the new name for the item. That's what I did with the walls: wound up hiring two Master Architects who built the Bookshelfs and named them "Holding Cell" (ordered 10 at first then realized I'd underestimated how many I needed so I ordered two more from the closest Master Architect I could find at the moment 
)

I can't decide which color to make 'em. That was the best tint that "stood out" with how dark the rest of my clothes are.
But I'll take the hint and change it post-haste 
BTW, my character *always* keeps his shades on: it's part of the mystery backstory that I gave him in his profile. Only time he's not wearing them is when he's wearing his set of composite armor (I don't like running around ALL the time wearing composite either... there should be a time limit of like 2 hours per day that you can have composite on so that more people look like real SW characters not secondhand clonetroopers )
