I want to be able to look around the interior of my space ship, and rotate the camera around the exterior of my spaceship. According to my JTL manual I should use the INS key to activate freelook. But pressing the INS key doesn't do anything for me, and looking through the key map I can't find anything which could be freelook.
Can anyone help?

The only help I can give is to say that Ins (only the ins on the num-pad though) gives me the free look. Hold it down then move the mouse around.

Yeah, numpad 0 or ins usually does the trick.

My problem is the opposite... I launched into space yesterday and find myself in free-look mode and unable to get out of it.
I've pressed every key on the fragging KB and still nothing. Asked the CSR in the chat and he just told me to restore default controlls, like that would help and as if I hadn't already tried it.
Scrolled through the keymappings 3 times trying to locate the fragging key but found nothing...
ANY help is apprechiated!
[EDIT]
LOL! Found the problem, seems my Joystick was connected and therefor the mouse automatically only worked as free-look. How embaressing

Just hitting the ALT key, so that the mouse pointer pops up, allows me to look around with the mouse.
EDIT: oops, just noticed that the origional post is 5 months old. This is why people shouldn't necro-post. It just confuses people early in the morning. ![]()
