Thread: Can't hit any enemies, is this a BUG..?
Don't aim at the ships (ie right in the middle), aim justin front of the ships. For some reason (be it server lag or whatever) you can't damage ships if you aim right on top of them, you have to lead them and aim just in front of them to do any damage. I, at one time, had the same problem and since my friend watched me one day he pointed out what I was doing and it has made a world of difference for me.

The lead reticle is more of a guideline than an actual target. Use it as a second point of reference.
Depending on several factors, including distance and trajectory of the target, speed of the target relative to your speed, and server latency, you may have to aim as far back as halfway between the lead reticle and the target ship. When your speed and trajectory perfectly match that of the target ship is when your hit point will be closest to the lead reticle, at least in my experience.
It takes a little getting used to, but you will. Keep at it!
Every situation is different, but don't aim right at that que either. I put my crosshairs just a hair behind it and do fine in most cases. Naturally, heavy dogfighting throws it all out the window and you eventually learn where to put your crosshairs.

Well I am shooting at the tiny reticle that floats in front of the targeted ship. This reticle is usually leading the ship, and when i aim at at i never hit the ship either. If I aim directly at the ship then it appears that I am hitting the ships shields, but the ships energy level for the shields does not change. So if this is some kind of lag I still can't hit the darn things. I'll try to shoot in other areas, but seems this is a fixable problem. I hope theu issue a fix for it...![]()
And BTW thanks for responding to my question,I appreciate it.
