Im working on my third master, namely so i can check out the X-Wing and B-wings but there seems to be a lack in places to grind not to mention grinding in a ywing is very time consuming and difficult since it is so slow, though i think finding a heavy z95 will end that problem. (the only other being NO ONE sells heavy varients)

im a 2-2-1-2 Rebel pilot right now.

PS> I dont understand why shipwrights whine about not being able to craft the new ships, its not like people are able to find any good comps or ships, everyone i know is always asking if anyone knows shipwrights who actually stock there stores and thats on both Bria and Eclipse. Seriously, the last thing we all need is new stuff not being put out because no one crafts it.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- I support NO DECAY.It should be run like EQ . No 20k price cap on the bazar and everyone can craft. Its has worked for 7 years on everquest and there is no decay plenty of money and no crazy prices.

Decay is only good for crafteres and bad for everyone else.

Currently 2/2/2/2 and helping my g/f catch up before moving on. I have been "grinding" in Lok. Lots of Tier 2s with 1 or 2 mixed in Tier 3s at any given time. From Nym's spacestation, head towards the Rebel spacestation and look for ongoing fights with TIEs. This is good for quick exp.

The other two good options for Lok are:

1) Do the station quests for Nym's station. After those are complete, they will give you recurring duty missions and you can take a duty mission to fly against Imp Storm Squadron TIEs over and over again for good exp.

2) Fly to the Imperial Station and shoot it a couple times. I did this last night and got hounded by 4 Tier 3s in about 10 seconds. They keep coming too for as long as you are around the station. Was great exp for the 20 minutes that I had to devote to it late last night.

The best place to grind is right by the kashyyk neutral space station. Mercenary freighters come out in groups of 3...2 light ones and one medium one. Get right up behind the medium one (so you are almost touching it) and take it down. If you are right behind it, it won't be able to hit you at all. Then, kill the 2 light freighters. The light freighters don't attack you at all. Each ship will give you around 5200 xp. If you are low level, they may take awhile to kill, but it is a safe way to grind. To make things go significantly faster, bring a friend to help with the damage.

A good place to do that solo is above Endor at Durillium Sea (tho with the Ywing you may want to make tactical retreats when the situation warrents) you'llget 1k + a kill, or the best option is group up with a tier 4 or master pilot and go to D-435 over Endor, Tier 4 Oppressors, Tie, Interceptos, just get your wing man to disable the reactors, then you finish off, and xp ranged from about 3k to 4k. Thats what i have been doing and have nearly beaten Tier 2 in about5-6hours oftotal game time. (admittedly I've spread my play sessions out over several days. So much to do so little time to do it, heh

The best places to grind is the places you ground when working on your other two Masters. Just because you are rebel does not change the fact that neutral and imperial can fight the same NPC ships as the Rebels. If you remember where you found good hunting spots before they will still be there now.

After mastering Alliance pilot the first week or so after JTL went live, I'm working on Imperial and Privateer pilot alts. I ground tiers 2 and 4 (3 is all quests, no xp) of Imp pilot in Kessel, and I'm grinding out level 2 of Privateer there now. Privateer is especially easy in Kessel if you're comfortable enough to be able to stay behind your target, since all the mobs there are yellow to you (meaning you must attack them first and nothing will outright aggro you unless you hit it). It takes a little while to kill a tier 5 with <1000 max weapons, but you get gobs of XP (Rebel B-Wings give close to 9k per kill and and are super easy to get and stay behind).

If you've finished up Tier 1 and got your 2xxx box for the Y-Wing Longprobe, you should do just fine in Kessel. Put the hardest-hitting guns you can find that you're certified for, and the fastest engine. You should be able to find a Mark III engine around 80 speed for a decent price on the vendor search that will fit easily into a Longprobe and give you decent speed.

If you're unsure of your piloting skills, practice with some lower level spawns around Lok (lots of tier 2 and tier 3 spawns there), and learn how to swing in behind a target and stay there. Use your booster and the match speed command to get right on their butts, and do some serious tailgating. Once you're in Kessel, as a Rebel, the only things you should stay away from are TIE Agressors and Gunboats. You could take the Gunboats, but if you don't know how, and make a mistake, they'll smoke you in 2 shots. Same with the Agressors, which have a massive rear gun that never misses.

If all else fails, get a friend who's Tier 4 or Ace to take you there for an hour and have him disable stuff for you. Easy XP.

*walks in, looks around*

Hmmm a thread I could give a lot of useful info for.

Oh wait, I'm sure Xstarbracer doesn't want to hear from "JtL fanbois" just like all the other threads he posts in.

Pardon me folks, I can find my own way out.
