Publicly, I would like to thank and acknowledge two outstanding members of the Alliance who I had the pleasure of flying with yesterday. I count them both new-found friends, and look forward to continued professional work with them.

Those two pilots are Masle and Gysi, both of whom performed brilliantly and with consistent displays of intellect and prowess behind the stick. The quick math reveals approximately 500 enemy kills during the several-hour duty run, and I commend them both for their courtesy, their humor, and their fine judgment as professional astronautical combatants. I have met few people for whom I would lay down any activity and run to their aid, but both "Red" and "Blue" are two such individuals. It would be a privilege to fly with them again, and I have every confidence we shall. Publicly, I commend them for their skill and thank them as colleagues.

May the Force continue to be with us in our pursuit of excellence.
