Thread: Make mission waypoints visible to all members of a group

Title pretty much says it. In JTL only the group leader is given the waypoint to the mission objective (most of the time this being the person whos mission it is). Why not let all members of the group see the waypoint like in the ground game?

This can be extremely frustrating sometimes. As a group member I cant see how far out the mission is (is it 1000 or 12000 away?) so I have a hard time preparing droid/ability commands. Then once engaged with a hostile force if my ship is destroyed, I am sent to the nearest Space Station for repairs. Now I have no clue as to where my companions are. Group chat helps, but who has time to give location coordinates while under fire? So I flounder around searching for them waiting get some clue as to where they are. Same goes if I get separated from them in the heat of battle. Expanding the radar helps, but why makethis so difficult?

If "group waypoints" work in the ground game, why not in space?

Ironic.

In the ground game a group mission waypoint was naught but an annoyance, since grouping on the ground-game was simply to be able to pull better missions.

In space however, grouping is actually used for its purpose, yet the group-waypoint system is not there. Tsk .

This and the addition of formations set by the group leader would be fantastic. JTL really is much more fun with a group, and i suspect that enhancements to the group experience would really open up new experiences for players. How about an enhanced radar componet for ships that uplinks extended radar coverage to the group, things like that...it keeps the twitch aspect intact...but starts giving bonuses based upon ship loadout and group composition. That could be fun.
