the answer is it SHOULD be a fighting ship,it simply isnt, just because it has 2 guns which you need 2 people to work that twitch horridly for them when you move, otherwise it has 3 missle launcers, but they need ammo,it ghowever has 5 million mass to it,load it up with tons of stuff,go a a joyride, about all you can do for now

The answer depends on how you decide to use it. Since you need a crew to man it properly in combat (which I for one like), don't expect to go it alone in a big fight. In my opinion it is a better MP ship then the Yacht. It also seems to fit much nicer if you like to role play as a Rebel. So, is it a good ship...YES!

Manning turrets and piloting specifically for your turret gunners' advantage definitely takes practice to get right and can be very frustrating along the way.
Some fixes/additions need to happen to really make the MP gunships what they should be:
1. Fix alarm/leak bug(s)
2. Add GIANTarmor, 5-10k or more, with large mass and possibly even primary and secondary shield slots in all 3 MP gunships
3. Add targetting reticle to turrets!!!
(4. Some would add allowing a pilot to lock turrets forward for solo flying, though I doubt this is going to happen)
The 'twitching' that can occur while manning a turret I am guessing mostly comes from latency/lag.
