I tried doing a search and reading through the FAQ but I couldn't find an answer.
If I change from Imperial to Neutral, will I have to drop Imp Ace? I worked very hard on getting it and i don't want to lose it.

Yes. But you will get a 100% bonus XP modifier for each pilot profession Ace under your belt.

but I really like my decimator.. heh
Oh well, I guess I'll just have to put some thought into it.

So let's say that aTier 3 fighter yields 1000 XP, normally. After you've made Ace and started on another pilot profession, it will give you 1000 XP plus another bonus 1000 XP because you've dropped Ace. You can do it for each of the factions.
