Thread: Reactor in the red??

I just read a msg that stated a reactor in the red just a little is not a problem. My ? when does it become a prob?

you must have read my post on another thread

I dont know the exact number, but when it starts effecting yoursystems, just reactor overload 1, or whatever program is necessary

So if im understanding this right. there is np with a reactor in the red as long as your not using overload programs. or the systems will be affected if you push it too high in the red regardless?

It's only a problem if you overstress the reactor by activating too many systems at once. For example, say you have 15000 out of 11000 reactor energy. We'll ignore the droid interface in this. If you can fly normally with nothing happening then you aren't using all of your reactor's energy. If you can fire and fly, still good. By this point, any booster, chaff or missile you activate will probably cause a reactor overload. Your ship will shut down and the fighters you happen to be shooting will "pwn j00" so to speak.


I'll never understand that weird number/text speak. Just seems weird to me.
