I was thinking on Pilot Titles....Since Pilot skill tress have to be gained horizontally, would it make more since to give each 'level' a title? i guess it's kinda silly, but it seems to make some sense to me, for pilots anyways. In the ground game people 'dabble' or 'stack' up just one or two trees in a profession. And those trees have a title. Now, pilots have specific skill trees too, but for some reason it makes more sense to be able to indicate what level pilot you are, ..... well, the more i read this the more it's starting to sound silly. anyone else think this makes sense?

I think you guys are on target. Here's my suggestion: we use the ranks for fighter pilots from the EU and RPG sources (as outlined on theforce.net's technical commentaries) to base the horizontal titles:

Novice = Pilot Officer

Tier 1 completed = Flight Officer

Tier 2 completed = Flying Lieutenant

Tier 3 completed = Squadron Leader

Tier 4 completed = Wing Commander

Master completed = Group Captain

We'd just have to add "Imperial," "Alliance," or "Privateer" before each title. For me, since I'm currently grinding Tier 4 missions, I'd have the title "Imperial Squadron Leader." Whaddaya think?

Well I"m glad i brought it up then. I definately feel that the titles could be better for content by being based on your current tier. And this rank should be able to be shown in place of your groundgame rank. Some people may only participate in their faction through space, and their Naval Rank may be the only rank they have.

I too prefer tiered titles, but I also want the fact that the pilot profession droid/computer titles are totally fubar to be addressed. The two groups that do NOT use astromechs have it in thier title, and the one that does, doesn't.

Yeah I always thought the current title system did not work well with pilot professions.

Tier 0 = Student Pilot

Tier1= BegginingFighter Pilot

Tier2=Fighter Pilot

Tier3=AdvancedFighter Pilot

Tier4= Expert Fighter Pilot

Master=Master Pilot

Would make more sense.

Personally I like em how they are, IMperial Ordinance Expert is the perfect title for my char since I love my bomber and rp a bomber pilot.
