Thread: Anti-Decaying what I really value.

This is just a small suggestion about the 1 year veteran reward "Anti-Decay Kit." I'm guessing that the entire point to the anti-decay kit is to make sure that the items that we all value above everything else is kept safe from the horrible "0/(random number) Condition" message from appearing on our screens. I chose this item for exactly that purpose, however, I was extremely disappointed to come and find out that the one item that i chose to be more valuable than anything else i owned, wasn't able to be used with the anti-decay kit. My item of choice was my KSE Firespray that i would like to make sure is still there for me when I fight my battles. Now i don't consider myself to be a pvp'er, or an "uber" anything really, but I do however pride myself in my ability to fly. I just think that if a pvp'er can make his very best weapon "anti-decay," or any other profession to be able to keep their most valuable items safe, that i should also be able to make the one thing i hold higher than any other item i have, my weapon of choice (even though it is a ship), "anti-decay."

For those like him that like flying more than the ground game, I think this would be a great idea.

But ships don't decay with use, like ground weapons do. They only decay if you have to repair....pilot lesson1.2 'mind your shields'. I for one really believe in the decay system, it makes things seem a little more real. I mean you can only sharpen a sword so many times. It allso ensures that crafter stay in business. I am not a crafter, but I do admire the time and effort they put into their work for me. I am one of the ones that think it was a mistake to take damage outta Deep Space sector, you should pay the price for get'n blowed up.

Yes they do. Do you overload your ship's components? I know I do. That causes damage that needs to be repaired, causing decay.

You are correct, I don't use them, I don't need them. I think they were intended to be used in an emergency situation, not every day use. I very seldom find myself in a situation I can't handle (even if it means running away to fight another day).

Edit: well i will admit i have been thinking about weapon overload 3 for my awing, it just takes to long to kill lvl 5 stuff with one lvl 7 blaster.

I agree.. and here is why.

I see no difference between an UBER DE-10 pistol and my Firespray. Both cost about the same, both decay over time fairly easily.

As far as the economy, again, what is the difference between keeping a ultra high end weapon safe and keeping an ultra high end ship safe?

The answer is no difference at all.

Does anyone know if the Anti decay kit works on components? My L6 quest reward engine would be the ultimate for it in my book.

He said SHIPS don't decay with use, how do you overcharge a chassis???

And being a shipwright selling Firesprays for 3 mill at the moment (while paying 3.5mil +for krayted DE-10's) I am absolutely happy that we can not dump space items on that thing.

Talk to your local shipwright and let him create A-Wing equipment with a lvl 9 gun.

Mine has that alltho it is my PVP ship and thus only carries a measly 1200hp shield (fighting a couple NPC aggressors and tie bombers in that thing is hard ) and goes "only" up to 1100 in speed with EO3, btw. the only 2 things I did not craft myself for that thing are the cap and the engine.

For PVE you will not need an engine tho that has p/y/r over 60 and thus you can use a faster crafted one and a 1900hp shield.

I definitely agree. The anti-decay kits should work with ships/JTL stuff.

Yeah it should work for singlecomponents. But not the whole ship. Otherwise Shipwrights will only be doing bussiness with Noobs.
