Hello Everyone!
Headbone here (Valcyn),I've given alot of thought over JTL and have played it since it came out. I came up with some ideas. What the expansion is missing is depth. The people who created the JTL platform only scratched the surface of the possiblities. Many pilots agree that they would like to see more than escort, patrol, and destroy missions in space. Everything is centered around shooting everything, and after several months, it can make your eyeballs bleed. I may be uninformed but I have yet to see more quests that are both ground AND space based. This kind of quest would call for a well rounded player. Also, once a pilot reaches master, there isn't much left to do besides go to deep space and blow MORE things up. No missions that can challenge the pilots skills besides a friend's corvette or an ISD run.
One possibilty might be a "space-based" dungeoun option where, from your ship, you have to fight your way into, let's say, an asteroid mining operation that has been taken over by thugs or stormies and then, once you've defeated the space defenses or surrounding ships, you dock with the station...unload your friends from your Nova, and fight toward some objective using your ground combat skills. In order to achieve some degree of ground-space integration one would have to access such a quest from the ground. Additionally, planetary space stations could offer those game elements such as a cantina, a hospital..etc. that at present are only offered on the ground. You could also dock with factional space stations and find a factional coordinator and a hospital inside as well as to be able to control the turrets on the station.
Another idea thatI came across while mindlessly shooting down tier 5's in kessel, would be to designate certain sectors in space a building right. For example, we designate an area of about 3000m x 3000m x 3000m in the correllian sector to allow players to construct houses, factional bases, asteroid miners etc. Now I'm sure there are hundreds of other ideas out there but what I truly want is depth to space. I would love to see ground/space integratation, docking with stations, and the player building zones.
And also, I'm an alliance pilot, and I have only found a very limited number of Imperial player pilots in space
particularly in valcyn as well as bria. Lets step it up guys. Are you pilots relinquishing your legend of massive numbers and overwhelming force in space to the rebels? I yawn when I solo the ISD, 12 times to date. I'd like to see a challenge.

Dungeons in space? Don't get your hopes up, I have yet to see a dungeon on the ground. A word of advice for SOE: play KOTOR, then see if that give you any good ideas.

Yeah, that would be cool but to be able to manuever better inside enclosed areas like that, i think that they should allow ships to move vertically and reverse...

Well i mean not actually take the ship inside a cave but rather dock with some kind of cave or bunker on an asteroid or dock with a ship and unload into it and destroy what ever it is inside be it stormies or pirates, and possibly you would have to complete a ground quest to gain access to the facility and acheive some goal. But yeah, enclosed spaces with big asteroids like with han solo ducking from those tie fighters would be pretty sweet.

That would be pretty cool. I like that Idea about mixing space and ground action too; could be like that geonosis mission from rebel strike. You could fight off some ties over, say, endor, only to have an escort carrier capture you with its tractor beam. you would have to break out of the brig, kill some guards, escape, and get an xp and fp bonus if you can destroy the ship (from the inside with a bomb or outside with your ship)
Another idea would be missions that could have several outcomes. You could kill an imperial informant on the ground to prevent him from revealing a rebel convoy. If he gets away (he will know you out and hop into a parked starship), the mission won't be a failure, instead, you will have to either kill him in space, or (if he reaches the space station) defend the convoy.
Also, what about improving the AI of the enemy so they actually try to shake you. And get rid of the crosshair that tells you how far ahead of them to fire. Make it like rogue squadron and get rid of that and make the shot collision detection more familiar. Then you will have to watch the actual fighters instead of a green, never-fail crosshair.

Well if any of you Rebels are looking for some action in space you can always try Starsider out. We just had another of our space events last night and it seems that the Rebellion doesn't have much heart when it comes to fighting against the Empire. We rallied 22 pilots and could have had more then that if the Rebels could manage to pull atleast that number.
So give it some consideration if your really looking for some action in space.

Gerat Ideas, I've also been hoping that they'll not forget about JtL, and maybe make amajor publish after the GCW and CU upgrades.
I'd like to see MORE interactive objects in space, enterable bases, stations, mining facilities, and if you mix space battle with ground battle, it would be a GRAND SLAM for this game
