If you die while doing your mission and most times you will die (unless you have a group)since most of the mid to upper level missions are insanely hard, you have to leave space and travel to wherever it was you got the mission from to get it once again. Why?
At ground level if you die in mid mission you don't have to re-get it so why in space? It's that much harder and frustrating having to do this. Two missions at one time is bad enough but one?
The fact that you have to find other people to help seems to be drivingsome people crazy if you read many of the posts here. There are as you can tell a large group of people who rather do their missions solo. But it's virtually imposible the way the missions here have been setup.
Before jumping to do the combat revamp SOE should take a nice long look at the way this is being done and how many unhappy people there are here because of the current system.
I know SOE is proud of their current accomplishment and rightly so, but now is not the time to start another project while this one still needs a bit more tweaking.

When you die you mission stops spawning. If it didn't you would have a TON of npc's floating around. Very bad news IMO.
And as far as only getting one missions....why do you need more? Duty missions are never ending. Why does it matter.

It matters to me and to those who would like to better serve their time doing the mission and not running around like chickens without their heads. It's ridiculous to say the least.
I guess some people don't mind having to run back and forth all the time. There are better things to do then to have to redo something over and over.
And for those who ask, why not one mission? There are twice as many asking why not?

Duty missions are not never ending. I thought the same and told everybody that they go on forever. However they do end. I was able to complete this twice. It takes a long time and it is hard. You get a nice little message stating something about how good you are and that there is no longer any threats blah blah blah. I can't remember but I think it ends after 8 of the ace pilot guys coming after you. Very hard to do solo but one hell of a rush and great feeling once you finish it. The first time I did it I had one wing man with me and thank god because the last way point where all the end boss guys are was right next to an enemy space station so things got very tricky.

Just another way of pissing people off, next we have to get ground missions in space..There is no need to go to ground, the spawn dissapears and you could get a new mission from /comm it will respawn at that point...And it would be better if we could start from submission we died in, no need to go back 70 minutes..Again it's just to annoy you..There is no reason at all to do it this way..
