Question: Why dont' ground based faction standings apply to JTL?

Everyone I've talked to who actually has a copy of JTL complains about this and says that it makes the game seem very lame.

When are the devs going to fix this?

I didn't use buffs or uber armour, so why did the combat revamp have to spoil my game?

Maybe you can elraborate a little.??

I know for the rebel JTL missions you have to go to the Abbonded Rebel base on Dant and well you need to be a rebel to get in there....

I was more thinking of privateer orientated things. For example you can be a privateer pilot and fly either Hutt or Black-sun fighters regardless of your standings with those factions.

As for reb/imp, here's a question for you (which I don't know the answer to): If you take master rebel pilot, then what happens if you resign from the rebellion on the ground and join the empire? If nothing, then you could be on one side when in space and the opposite side while you're on the ground.

Interesting Question: I dont know the answer either.. But i agree they should make it where you have to be a rebel to fly any rebel ship. Like the 200 Faction that you need to keep your status quo on the ground.

Yep, andI already know that on the ground I could be in so bad standing with Hutts and Black-son's that they both shoot me on sight. Yet, I can be a privateer pilot and fly either or both of their fighters!

Doesn't make sense does it.

OR, am I looking at it all wrong?

Or I have good standing with Nyms on the ground, but for my tier 2 mission, I hunt down and destroy and harrass their spacecraft.

The one copy of JTL that I have loaded is for one of my alts. The only profesions this alt has been is master Doc and Master polotician. As out city houses Reb, Imp and Neut alike, I have always kept my alt neut on the ground.

I decided to make him a reb Pilot for JTL so I have something to switch to when I want something different than I get from my main Imp toon. The reb pilot now appears to be a full reb. All other rebs show purple to me and I get the little Reb insignia when looking at my swoop.

However, my faction standing still shows neut in the Ctrl + C window as I have not declared Reb on the ground at all. For that matter, other than doing Reb space missions, I have not yet gone to a Reb station in space to declare yet either. So, I guess my alt is only a half-breed Reb.
