Okay, I am a newbie and I need to get a few things straight. Will somone please that if I join a space faction, then I will ammediately be engaged in combat if I run across an enemy? Or do I just have to be privateer, where I don't fight anyone. Combat is the thing that I want to do the least, so which faction should I join to have to do the least fighting possible. I don't have the Sorosuub 3000 either, or else I would just use that? Or, do I even have to join a faction to own my own ship? And can I fly a multiplay ship by myself? If so, then what are the ships, how much do they cost, and do I need any special skills to fly them?
Please answer, I have had rather indirect answers that don't make any sense. Also I know I have already asked a lot, but could you refrain from using Acrynymns. shuch as TIER (whatever that means). Thanks so.

Sorry I have one other question. Am I able to walk around in the 1 person ships, I mean too just get out of my chair, and stand up for a brief moment in my 1x1 sq. ft space lol.

You have to join one of the three factions to get a n00b ship and a trainer. So, Yes you must choose one.
Im not sure if you choose to be a privateer that you get attacked or not since im a rebel..But I imagine you get agroed by something..
If you come across a enemy that is yellow you will not be attacked. If you come across a enemy that is Red you will just like the ground game.
Yes, You can fly multiplayer ships by your self although some of them require a gunner to attack.
There are many ships for each faction i suggest you search the forums for hat answer.
My Y-Wing coast 400K and my X-Wing a little more and My A-wing i got for 640K
When you train with a trainer for the first time you become novice pilot and get a n00b ship. They do not cost any skillpoints.

Ok, I'll keep it simple. I assume you have JtL and are wondering what to do next. To answer your main question depends on what you mean by combat. There are two types: Player versus Player (PvP) and Player versus Enemy (PvE). In PvP interaction you will actually fight with someone and PvE you fight the AI opponents, Non-Player Characters (NPC). To get Experience Points (XP)and advance through the Tiers (a Tier is adifficulty level) you will have to do combat with NPCs. But you can join any faction and not have to worry about PvP unless you declare at a space station or stumble into Deep Space. Which I don't think you will do by accident.
Since you don't have the Sorosuub, the only way you can fly a Multi-Person (MP) ship is to become a Master Pilot. However, that is no easy task, it will require a lot of XP points and completion of several missions including two missions in the Kessel sector, which is a forced PvP zone. Hince it will require a lot of combat.
Your best bet is to find a guild or join a group who are like yourself and don't want to do a lot of combat, but have one person in the group willing to take on the challenge to get Master Pilot and then your group can ride in that person's MP ship. But don't be afraid of combat, at the lower levels it's not so bad.
