Thread: flying in planets airspace?

was wondering if we will be able to fly around the planet surface? and have dog fights in planets airspace?
i can see a lot of potential for this. like rebel quest that lets them protect a base from imperial attacks. and imperial quest where you attack a rebel base.
these type quest start a war with npcs and pc that can be involved with fighting on ground as well in air.
like rebels have to fight at-at and use tow cables to bring them down. and imps cover the at-at until they destroy the rebel base?
but to fly around in a planet atmosphere would be fun as well as flying in space.
will stuff like that be possible and coming soon?

Don't know where you saw those screen shots but as it stands now you can not do that.

hmm interesting. but i was in beta, and there is no atmospheric flight.u cannot fly over the planets surface, all flight is done only in space. i would bet this is a doctored image.

I never said i was right. Check out the screenshot for yourself. No need to get so defensive man. I was in beta too.

Ive been searching the boards up and down because as far i knew there was no planetary flying. THen i was checking out image dumps library and cam across this. I was puzzled by it and there are abotu 3 others on there like it.

The pics look retty real to me, although some one who has a huge amount of spare time on his hands might be able to make a fake look this real...

it's gotta be either a doctored image, or it was a bug. which is highly possible. look at his other items. he has one called "atmospheric flight" that looks like his ship is sitting in the ground. this makes it look like even more of a bug imo. yeah definately look at some of his others, one of them looks like a crappy photoshop job. plus if it was real, or was a bug, how come only this guy has the screenies and has had this happen to him? the more i look at his other ones, the more i think it is a well done fake
